The Ferrier died today
Practicing a dying art
Wielding the tools
Working the forge
Putting shoes on equines
Godspeed on your journey
Lilo, my heartfelt sympathy and thoughts for peace and comfort are being sent to Joann and you. Thank you for letting us share your sadness.
Please Add my sympathies. May kind and loving thoughts surround you all today. I'm so sorry.
My deepest sympathy to Joann and you. A long and valiant fight is over.
I give you this one thought to keep -
I am with you still - I do not sleep.
I am the thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glint of snow,
I am sunlight on ripened grain,
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awake in the morning's hush
I am the swift, uplifting rush
of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not think of me as gone - I am still with you in each new dawn.
I am so sorry.
May peace and comfort be with you and Joann, and may Ron have been carried on his journey from this physical world with love and gentleness.
My symphathies to you and Joann. Very nice tribute to Ron.
This is very sad news,Lilo, and please give my condolences to Joann. Your tribute was just beautiful and thank you for sharing it with us.
My sympathy to you and Joan.
May your wonderful memories of Ron sustain you through the coming days. So sorry for your loss.
Dear Lilo and Joann,
I am so sorry for the pain you are going through right now and may the years of memories and love help soften it a little.
I will be thinking of you both and sending healing prayers your way.
Your tribute is beautiful---I had a copy of that taped to the inside of the door on my supply locker at nursery school for years---it helped me get through some pretty tough losses. It's comforting to read it again.
I'll light the candle in the garden tonight and hope it will help comfort you.
Love to you both.
(It's good that the picture of him shows him doing what he loved..)
I apologize---Anneliese posted the poem I mentioned---please forgive me for my blunder.
Lilo, your tribute was written with the same leaness as the picture of Ron, working at the forge.
Nothing to spare in his build---what is shown is what he needed to work at his craft.
Lean, hard muscles and probably some long scars on his calves.
(My brother used to be a ferrier)
Peace be with you.
Lilo and Joann and family, my condolences to you.
