seedlings from the lawn :P Cucumber or gourd maybe?

kremlinkylieMay 29, 2014

I found these growing in the lawn so I transplanted them thinking it was cucumber of some sort but someone said it might be gourd. If anyone knows what I'm growing I would appreciate it :)

The flowers and fruits on that one are tiny, but interesting.

Looks exactly like the Echinocystis lobata (wild cucumber) coming up in my yard. It is kind of pretty and ornamental when it blooms en masse. If you have a place for it to climb and ramble, might work. Fruits (not edible) are spiny and visually interesting as well.
