Rest is not idleness, and to lie sometimes on the grass on a summer day listening to the murmur of water, or watching the clouds float across the sky, is hardly a waste of time.
In other words, it's bliss.
Thanks for a week of great quotes, I liked them all.
I haven't done the cloud thing for many, many years, but it used to be a favorite activity in my teenage years.
Thanks for your quotes, this week. I've enjoyed them.
Thanks for the great quotes this week, Dorf. You got me thinking.
About the rest thingy, I'm learning how to do that these days. But it takes practice. I wake up to birdies singing/chirping, sun dappling shadows from the trees, cool mornings and I'm ready to go, I'm a morning person. I've learned to enjoy the mornings for a few minutes before I get going.
Thanks for the good quotes, rest and idleness are good things, they re-charge the batteries, We have been conditioned to be "productive", sometimes sitting quietly, doing absolutely nothing is necessary.
