Plant or weed

dawnpet69May 7, 2012

Hi, I was pulling up a mass of weeds in my garden today and found this, was reluctant to pull this one as it didnt look like a weed so its still there at the moment. It stands around 15 inches high and has a kind of soft rubbery but delicate feel. Does anyone know what it is ?

I'm thinking Linaria vulgaris...highly ornamental, and highly PITB to get rid of.

Here is a link that might be useful: invasive info

YEEES. I had this in my garden, pretty and all, and two years later I'm still pulling out volunteer seedlings :(

Pulling won't do a whole will have to carefully dig and get as much of the root as possible. You will be amazed that such a skimpy root can cause such a problem!
