So, what is it? I planted two plants last year and they got huge!
Also, does anyone know what variety of sea thrift I have? Thanks!!
The first is Hesperis matronalis, Dames Rocket.
The second is Armeria maritima, as you say but there are several white ones and I am not familiar with them, so I'm afraid I can't help you as to which you have.
Dames Rocket is one of my favs. If you don't mind it popping up everywhere, let it go to seed. I just love it. Its a biennial.
Lucky you. Ladybells is an evil garden thug.
Hesperis is considered an invasive species in several states. You may want to check in your own area to be sure you're not nurturing an ecologically damaging plant.
