I planted ladybells and got this instead

So, what is it? I planted two plants last year and they got huge!

Also, does anyone know what variety of sea thrift I have? Thanks!!

The first is Hesperis matronalis, Dames Rocket.
The second is Armeria maritima, as you say but there are several white ones and I am not familiar with them, so I'm afraid I can't help you as to which you have.

Dames Rocket is one of my favs. If you don't mind it popping up everywhere, let it go to seed. I just love it. Its a biennial.

Hesperis is considered an invasive species in several states. You may want to check in your own area to be sure you're not nurturing an ecologically damaging plant.
