small flowering tree

bbcjraj(z5 PA)May 1, 2012

Could you tell me what this flowering tree is? My husband is interested as he thinks it looks like a southern crepe myrtle, but I don't think they survive in PA.

Thanks

Becky

Can you post some close ups? Is this a recent picture? Crape myrtle is not flowering now anyway.

Just by appearance and timing, I'd say a flowering crabapple but would need closeups to confirm.
