Beautiful Yellow Flower Needs ID

kaktuskrisMay 5, 2014

I was at my brother's place over the weekend, and found a few of these growing in some soil he had had delivered last year. He had no idea they were there. I am assuming they are some type of spring bulb. Any ideas as to what they are? Thanks.

It's a species tulip, possibly Tulipa tarda.
