After posting this I searched the web and found similar looking ranunculus repens (invasive buttercup). Anyone else feel it's Waldsteinia fragarioides? Would like to keep it if it is.

I think it could be Potentilla canadensis.

Definitely not Waldsteinia. Potentilla is a good bet.
