Need help identifying plants!

My husband and I just bought a house in Holden, MA and we are trying to figure out what's in our front beds. We are very new to gardening, so we know basically nothing. Thanks!

a lilac that can get 10 feet tall.. and 10 feet wide.. unelss you learn rejuvenation pruning.. and someone has done that.. to keep it in check ...

its really planted too close to the house.. to be let go wild ...
