Certainly in the same family but not sure its G aparine. The stem length between the nodes looks too long, too smooth, too pink and too stiff. Any chance of an in focus picture when it flowers? (Looks as if it is about to) Maybe G odoratum, Sweet Woodruff??

I'll take pics of the flowers....it is sweet woodruff-y but all the pics seem to show 8 leaves around stem...mine all have 6...maybe a different species or sub-species? Thank-you Jaynine and flora for your help! I'll be back w/pics!

Hi adidas. Three of the more common species with 6 leaves in your area are:
* Galium triflorum - ovary portion of flower and mature fruits having hooked hairs
* Galium tinctorium - ovary and mature fruits smooth and upper stem with tiny hairs on the angles
* Galium obtusum - ovary and mature fruits smooth and upper stem smooth on the angles

These all have tiny white flowers, and usually 6 leaves in whorls. You should be able to see these details with a decent magnifying glass or 10x lens.
