These popped up in my yard

Garden_FairyMay 30, 2014

I thought the first picture was going to be Bleeding Heart because I thought the leaves looked similar but then it flowered and I don't know what it is.

The second picture is of something I left alone because I thought it was going to be something but now I think it's just a weed. Any ideas?

The first picture is columbine, Aquilegia canadensis. It looks like the wildflower form of it, and it often just 'happens' without human intervention.

Second might be a Desmodium sp. (tick-trefoil).

I am not sure what the second one is but I think ken's judgement on it is a bit premature. "do not allow such" ... really? How very controlling-human of you!

Thanks for the input everyone! :) I think the first one is a pretty flower and glad it decided to popped up out of nowhere. The second one I will leave for a little bit longer but so far it has no flowers or buds on it so it may be a weed.
