This springs up everywhere and has numerous yellow flowers when in bloom. Does anyone know what it is?

Looks like Kerria japonica to me too. Are the flowers single or double? i.e. Plain K japonica or K japonica 'Pleniflora'. Strangely, the double is far commoner.
