What is this?

I thought that this was some type of chilli/pepper but have been assured that it is not. It has a distinctive 'square' stem and very tiny purple flowers. It's leaves are different shapes depending where on the plant they are, some heart shaped and some elongated.

Salvia of some sort I'd say.

Yes probably a Salvia of some sort, But the two different types of leaves are quite intriguing. I'll wait to see if it gets any more tiny flowers or fruit even.

There is actually 1 tiny, purple flower tucked in the leaf node. The distorted leaves look like they may have caught a slight drift of a hormone weed killer. Is that possible?

Or they could just be the modified leaves on an inflorescence which are often a different shape.
