Prodiamine 65WDG

mop708October 31, 2013

Does anyone know where I might find some Prodiamine 65WDG in smaller portions? I have only seen this in 5 lb containers and that much would last me 10 years. I only have 10K sq ft of area to cover. From what I've read, the shelf life on this is only 1-3 years. Has anyone ever spotted 1 or 2 lb containers of Prodiamine 65WDG?

I'd even settle for a bag of granular Prodiamine, but my local John Deere Landscapes only carries Prodiamine with nitrogen.

My ideal would be something I can spray, but I don't mind spreading if I can find some without fertilizer.

By the way, I'm in the south suburbs of Chicago. I have no problem ordering online or purchasing locally.

Not sure this will help, but you may look for it under it's commercial name, Barricade. I'm not in Illinois, but get mine at a farmers coop in TN, 50lb bag made by Anderson. Here is a 3lb bottle.

You don't want to apply it now, do you? Are you buying it for springtime?

Yes, I am just looking for a springtime application. I already put down barricade with fertilizer in September. I don't mind the fertilizer in the fall, but I want to try to avoid putting down fertilizer in the spring.

I'll look into Resolute. Thanks for the info.

Looked at the Resolute. Although it is cheaper, I will still be throwing most of it away. I wouldn't want to keep it for more than a couple years.

It's unfortunate, but I guess I'll have to find an alternative.
