Dormant Seeding after Fall Fertilization

monet_gOctober 15, 2011

I'm planning on dormant over-seeding in Nov/Dec. I've done one Fall fertilization (Scotts), will do another at the end of Oct. (Scotts) and was also planning on a quick release nitrogen (straight Urea) at the end of Nov.

Is there still a possibility for the fert applications to burn/destroy the seedlings even though they were applied ~4 months before germination? I think I'll be okay with the first two, so I'm mostly wondering about the Urea.

No, this won't be a problem. All of that nitrogen will be in the soil long before germination next spring.
