Are these hosta plants?

LantanaLove(9 - Riverside, CA)June 23, 2014

These little plants have been popping up throughout one of my annual flower beds. I know I didn't plant them, but can someone tell me what they are? They're relatively slow growing and I can only imagine they're a variety of hosta that was planted years ago by someone else.
Can anyone identify these? I've been waiting for them to get bigger for easier identification but as I said, they don't seem to be a rapidly growing plant.

I should add that this area was previously a shade bed. Until a few months ago it sat underneath a row of cypress trees in a mostly shade yard. Since the trees were removed, the left side of the bed receives partial shade throughout the day. These plants have sprung up alongside nasturtiums which don't grow in the full sun side.

I don't know what it is, but it is not Hosta.

Not a Hosta. Could possibly be Brunnera.

Might be Rudbeckia foliage. It looks slightly fuzzy.

Hostas don't grow well in Southern California.

Too narrow for Brunnera IMO. could those be Echinacea/ coneflower seedlings?

I've grown coneflower and they looked nothing like these. Are there different types of coneflower?
