Watering new seed in cold?

mcintoshmc(9)November 19, 2012

I laid new seed on Sunday. How often to water in cold? Temp will be between 50-69 all day, with no rain. I have good drainage.

Water as often as needed so your seeds are continually moist. Grass seed takes longer to germinate as air/soil temps fall, and at a certain point, germination won't take place at all, usually below 50 degrees, although some sources say 55 degrees.
