Is this some kind of spirea?

I love this shrub. It was here when we moved in, so I have no idea what it is. It's in a full-sun spot in zone 5. It's about 2-3 feet wide. I was taking a wild guess that the leaves look a little spirea-like. Some close-up photos at the link below. Any thoughts?

Deutzia gracilis. There are compact cultivars. Nikko is one.
