Sharing Some Photos from The Garden Today

lmcilhargieJuly 9, 2011

This first photo is the garden loom. Bella decorated it up with clippings from my plants and lots of ribbons that she believes the birds take to weave into their nests

The kids garden bench

My kitchen collection at the entrance to the back garden

There's a bottle tree in there somewhere

This little fairy door is hidden way in the back of the garden. Something you really have to search for

The kids love walking through the beads into their fairy gardens

Persicaria polymorpha is huge this year

A container grouping and the gnome garden

The kid's fairy garden

And they've taken over this one too

These are new, the trellises will be planted clematis and show off my bird gargler collection on the tops of the posts

I made my old fountain into a succulent garden this year

Another container grouping

Bella's renamed the conservatory the Gnome House and insists on eating every meal in there when she's here

The only way they'll let me have chickens here in the city :)

Eden - what a magical garden for the kids! That will certainly provide memories to last their lifetimes. My maternal grandparents' garden is a definite influence on mine and your garden will influence theirs too I'm sure.

Thanks everyone. I try not to take my garden or my gardening too seriously these days. It supposed to be about fun, right? Being in my garden makes me really happy these days. I could use a higher fence though :)

But you do take it "seriously," Eden - in that if you just look to see what all projects you've done this garden season alone - it's truly amazing in retrospect.... what a magical place; I agree w/ Woody - you likely will have inspired several future gardeners. Just fantastical.... I think I'm most taken by the fairy invasion of your property.
