Quote Friday 10/28

Security is mostly superstition. It does not exit in Nature, nor do the children of man as a rule experience it.

Avoiding danger is no safer in the long run than outright exposure.

Life is either a daring adventure or nothing.

To keep our faces toward change and behave like free spirits in the pressure of fate is strength undefeatable.

Helen Keller - "Let us have Faith" (1940)

Helen Keller is probably correct in her thinking. I pull my down comforter up to my chin during a thunder/lightning storm, thinking I'm safe. However, I know people that drive down to the ocean during a storm, just to experience the full force of nature.
