Quote 10/22

lilosophieOctober 22, 2013

Even so late in the season cutting all the faded blooms
Away, makes the marigolds so much more alive and vibrant.
There is a lesson:
Even late in life it behooves us to cull out
Faded and unusable beliefs and attitudes.
That makes us more alive and vibrant.
Never mind that the killing frost may come tomorrow.

Oh, Lilo! So much wisdom and such a beautiful poem; thank you for sharing it with us, and also for the realization that it's never too late to do something--no matter how small or inconsequential--especially if it helps someone.

Pruning is what I need to do, not in the garden, but in my life this week. Thanks for the heads-up.

Thanks lilo.
Makes me think. That's a good thing.
