Leaves of three . . .

asharps(7)June 22, 2014

So, I just bought a house this winter--y'know when there's not a lot growing. Now that spring's just ended and summer's here, though, my yard is now a highly disorganized menagerie. And I don't know what half the stuff is--including this. My mind immediately jumped to poison ivy, but the buds and the small thorns on the hairy vine are throwing me for a loop.

Looks like wineberry, Rubus phoenicolasius. Edible, not poisonous.
