Farm pond leaking
I saw some helpful info from sneezer2 on another pond question ..
I have a 3/4 acre farm pond that is leaking. It is man-made, and I had it dug out 5 years ago which turned out great.
The north end of the pond is leaking. It is an embankment and the water is slowly trickling out of the bottom of the embankment in 2 places. It's been VERY dry, so it's easy to see where there is water.
My neighbor said the old owner, I've lived here for 11 years, had the same problem. Supposedly, he opened up the top of the embankment and filled it with a special clay.
Here's a picture when I had it dug out ...
Here's a picture from the other side looking back at the pond ..
Anyone have any idea how they would fix the leaks? I know there are are least 2 places it's leaking.
I called the people who dug it out 5 years ago, and asked them to come look at it and give me some idea's/prices.
