gardenbug's oven dried tomato recipe, please!

GB, would you be so kind as to post your oven-dried tomato recipe again? I have searched all my files for it and can't find it. We tried it last summer and they were SO delicious that we wanted to do more this summer. Thanks so much!

Yikes, I haven't got it written down...but this is what I do now:

First I cut the fresh tomatoes in about 1/4-1/2 inch slices.
Place in a single layer on an oil sprayed cookie sheet. I use olive oil spray. Then I place them in the oven at 200F or less for as long as it takes to reach the dryness you desire. For us, that is 6-7 hours.

The finished product vanishes in approzimately 10 minutes, no matter how many you make! A great way to use up the excess tomatoes from your garden in a healthy way!

Oh GB! I just logged on and read the current Idyll and saw how busy you are! Thanks so much for taking the time to respond to my post. I hope everything turns out wonderfully for you all.

We rationed our dried tomatoes last year! I didn't make many because I wanted to see how we liked them. This summer I hope to make a lot. Thanks again!
