The flower is quite sure from some Impatiens,
There is a problematic one, I glandulifera.

Where did you find it and how tall is it?

They are annual in my zone 7 but reseed

My neighbor gave me a small seedling last fall and I got several from that one this year. This plant gets very tall. Do some impatiens get tall? These ones are about 6 inches tall right now.

Impatiens glandulifera can easily reach 6' - 8' in my garden. And at one time it did but I no longer grow it, a listed noxious weed here now. Self sowing annual in my Z8.

I just searched it and also found out that it is a noxious weed in some areas. My neighbors plants got very tall last fall and they were just beautiful with the pink blooms. What a disapointment really. Will need to decide if I want to keep it or not.

Thanks to both of you! This mystery is finally solved!

This is clearly an Impatiens but I don't think it's I glandulifera. The flower shape looks wrong. May be Impatiens balsamina which comes in a wide variety of colours and single/doubles.
