> Heads up everyone! Please, keep this circulating..

> You walk across the parking lot, unlock your car and get inside.

> You start the engine and shift into Reverse.

> When you look into the rear-view mirror to back out of your parking

> space, you notice a piece of paper stuck to the middle of the rear

> window. So, you shift into Park, unlock your doors, and jump out of

> your car to remove that paper (or whatever it is) that is obstructing your

> When you reach the back of your car, that is when the car jackers

> appear out of nowhere, jump into your car and take off.

> They practically mow you down as they speed off in your car.

> And guess what, ladies? I bet your purse is still in the car.

> So now the car jacker has your car, your home address, your money, and

> your keys. Your home and your whole identity are now compromised!

Last place in the country I would live is Orlando.
Gang controlled but Disney's PR team makes it sound like a wonderland for little children.
We get their news -murder capital of the USA.
Car jackings are daily.

I travel from client to client in my little pickup truck. People laugh at me about all the door locking and checking I do. Thankfully, I live in a low crime area, but I have lived in high crime areas, and the habit is there.

As I walk up to the truck I look through the windows into the camper shell to check to see that I have no unwanted passengers. I look through the door windows before I unlock the vehicle, then I check behind the seats before I get in and then I lock the door immediately. I used to date a police officer and he drilled me and drilled me and drilled me.

I do it so automatically now most people don't notice my routine.

When out and about, I usually walk up to my truck with a hand on my trusty 38 caliber S&W and subconsciously think "come on make my day," to some imaginary thug with his pants sagging down, south of his equator.
Once into the truck I keep my friend, in full view next to me, just in case someone feels the need to jack my wheels.
Before you criticize me, I live 2 hours from the murder capital of the world with an inept DA and a fool for a major. Tis better to be judge by 12 than carried by 6.
