Got this plant in a free pack of mixed seeds called "Moody Blues" Grows about 60-80 cm tall, flowers June July.
Photo taken near end of flowering period, bees love it.
Any idea what it is called?
Verbena brasiliensis or similar
It's Phacelia tanacetifolia, actually. Not a British wild flower despite the link name but a common cover crop which sometimes escapes.
Here is a link that might be useful: Phacelia tanacetifolia.
Definitely Phacelia tanacetifolia. Many thanks for your help.
It's so pretty! Has it drawn butterflies to your yard?
Haven't noticed any increase in butterflies but as stated above it is an absolute bee magnet, which for me is a good thing.
