In the glowing folds of Sharifa Asma
wow! those are awesome!
I am always birdwatching and think I would faint if a pileated woodpecker came to my birdbath!--I only get fleeting glimpses as they fly across my place.
Those are wonderful pictures, Pauline. Thanks for posting them.
Sorry I can't much appreciate the spider one - I HATE HATE HATE spiders. But the woodpecker on is awesome! I, too, love to birdwatch. One of my favorite things about winter is all the birds it brings to my feeders.
Lovely shots! Pileated woodpeckers are WICKED cool--we have 'em in the neighborhood--but I've never seen one at my birdbath.
Color me GREEN with jealousy!
What beautiful and entertaining photos!
Fantasmical and Gawgeous!
WOW---Pauline --these pictures are amazing.
DH and I are avid birdwatchers ---we have many feeders and lots of birds but never saw a wood pecker like this one---I too am green with envy.
Am I the only one who has noticed how B-I-G the fangs are on that spider?
Cool photos, the spider you have is known as a crab spider or type Misumenoides formosipes. They are really cool and harmless, I move them around as necessary when working on my gardens. We have red headed woodpecker that eats from the bird feeders so its always fun to see them and the little finches.
Too cute. I was looking at the spider and thinking it looked alot like a crab and then I read the name of it from orchids. I also get the pilated woodpeckers here, I love watching them, they sure are shy though, you did good to get that picture. I love to see the critters around the garden.
Of course the 'title' got my attention!
