I'm not fond of any Victoria seeds from Thailand. I get mine from Ben and Kit at Victoria Adventures. I grew a V. cruziana two years ago and had three blooms and even harvested seeds. Good luck with them. Like with any other water lily seeds, it takes patience to grow them.

Gary, I was able to dwarf mine. My largest pad was 28". I grew mine in a 5' hot tub shell. :o) Yes, do be careful handling it or be sure that you have a good supply of band-aids. I moved mine from a smaller container to the hot tub and I let my wife carry the pot while I carried the pads wearing leather gloves.

Yes it is possible to dwarf them but seems self defeating?? After all the outstanding characteristic of this type is the incredible size. So many choices of more appropriate types.
I have been trying for years to get the city to allow me to grow some in a 75 foot retention pond not only big enough but has berms on two sides allowing views from above. They won't let me for fear of attracting alligators lol Would be fantastic!!! gary

Gary, Florida city governments aren't very bright. Water lilies isn't what would attract the gators, it's the water. lol
