Do you recognize this fern?

This is a fairly large sized fern (30+ inches tall with fronds spanning over 12 inches in width) that I found growing locally (upstate NY, zone 5). Each of the fronds had a section about 2/3 of the way down that was brown and shriveled which I thought may be the spores since there were none apparent after inspecting the back of the leaflets. Hoping someone could help put a name to it. Thanks for your help!

Look up pictures of Interrupted fern and compare them to what you have.

Ah, yes, that does look like it. I was thinking cinnamon fern but wasn't confident. I see sites showing ways to differentiate them, so at least my guess wasn't too far-fetched. :) Thank you kindly!
