Yes, peony...and if you want to see it bloom, you'll have to move it to more sun...don't plant too deeply either.

Before you try to dig it up, read up on moving a peony. You especially need to see photos of the roots.

Often they don't bloom the following spring after being moved. But I dug up a couple which were left me by the Previous Owners -- and I was a rank amateur, regarding peonies -- and they even bloomed the first year, so have hope!
