Does anyone know what kind of tree this is?
I want to know the species, and if it is evergreen or if the leaves drop in fall.
Myrtus communis grown as a standard perhaps?
Here is a link that might be useful: standard
How tall are these trees? I was imagining them about 20 feet. Wouldn't that preclude Myrtle?
Indeed it would! I'm imagining half that height. Someone standing next to them for scale certainly would have helped.
A close-up of the foliage wouldn't go amiss, either :-)
