Watermelons with white seeds

sldeal(Zone 11)April 28, 2009

I know this sounds kinda dumb, but can I plant the white watermelon seeds? I bought a watermelon that had plenty of white seeds (I'm use to black seeds). I don't know if this is considered a seedless watermelon or not. I'm not interested in whether or not it would produce a good watermelon I just want to see if I can grow a melon. The stores are out of seeds over here and I just want to give it a shot. Will it work?

No....... the seed is not mature enough for it to grow. Most seedless watermelon have those white seed.
