Moving LT-155

krnuttleJuly 4, 2011

We are planning a move of about 700 miles. The movers said that I would be OK if the Tractor had less that a quarter tank of gas, when they put it on the Moving van. Hopefully the tractor will be in possession of the movers for less than a week.

My question is should the Transmission be left engaged or disengaged.

I can see reasons for it being disengaged as it would make it easier to move, but at the same time would expose the lever to possible damage.

Any comments specifically on whether to engage or disengage the transmission would be appreciated. Also general comments on moving the tractor would be appreciated.
