Lagerstroemia Apalachee source in central NC

patty57(7 NC)March 3, 2014

I was wondering if someone in central North Carolina has found a source/nursery who sells Apalachee. I have a few mail order sources but would rather pick up if possible.

Thank you,
Patty

Hey Patty, you might also try posting in the Gardening in the Carolinas Forum. People there might be more familiar with your local nurseries.

I checked a nursery-inventory search-system, that usually works well for me, but didn't turn up a nursery in your area with that cultivar. A good nursery, even if they don't currently have one, might be able to find it for you though. Many nurseries specially order things for people from well-stocked wholesalers.

then you contact nearby high end nurseries..

and ask first.. if they have any being trucked in for spring ...

or if their orders are still pending.. and you could add some to their shipment ...

you seem to want to find them locally.. based on a hope and a dream ...

i say.. cut your odds.. and make them appear ... thru local sources ... use the phone ...
