How deep do I transplant my Kale seedlings?

Creek-side(5)April 3, 2014

My Kale plants have single stems that are an inch to an inch and half long, and then they branch out in 3 to 5 directions. I am ready to move them into pots. How deep do I transplant them?

Bury the bare stem part so the cluster of leaves sits just at or a bit below the soil line.

Thanks, Dave. The little ones are nestled away in their new homes.
