First blossom in 4 years

kmacsyAugust 8, 2014

I have had this plant for 4 years and today I noticed it starting to bloom for the first time. I got it from my grandmas neighbour and do not know what it is. It has leaves with long stems, one even grew all the way to my ceiling once.

Can anyone help me identify it?

It could be night-blooming cereus, Epiphyllum oxypetalum. If it is, you'll want to stay up late/get up early to see it or you'll be disappointed when you miss it. When my first one bloomed, I found it the next day AFTER the flower was dead and mushy. :-(
