Anybody give nitrogen to Legumes?

Oxboy555(Las Vegas)March 6, 2014

Supposedly legume shrubs like sennas, sephoria and brooms don't need additional nitrogen. Does it hurt to give it to them though periodically? What if you gave them a shot of say 15-5-10 fert once annually in the spring?

Any insight? Thanks.

are they showing any evidence of need for such ...

or are we working simply on the fact that you think your babies are hungry???

i never fert my shrubs ... any kind.. ever ..

that said.. a LITTLE of what you note isnt going to hurt anything... which begs the question ... whats your definition.. of a SHOT???

ps: though i will admit.. i quit planting ones that need pH adjusting.. etc ... if they die.. for lack of anything.. who needs them .. lol ... they are plants.. not children ...
