Can anyone ID this plant for me?

I was hoping someone would be able to tell me what this plant is? I love the photo and have it on my website but haven't been able to give the plant a name. I've had a look around but haven't had any luck.

Here is a link that might be useful: Photosynthesis : Basic Biology

What is it about so many of the Euphorbias that makes them recognizable as Euphorbias? Even when it's just a few leaves, like the OP's photo (no weird Euphorbia-ish "flower" parts). I almost posted "It looks like a Euphorbia" -- but it was just a few leaves....

The best I can explain is that their leaves, stems, etc., seem to have a matte quality.... Would that be due to the latex sap? Maybe it adds an extra bit of opacity.

Not all of them, of course, have the matte characteristic. Acalypha rhomboidia / Three-seeded mercury doesn't have it -- but I've pulled a ton of that, and never noticed latex sap....
