Transplant Cosmos?

I ws'd my cosmos and because of the temp changes and sunny/rainy days, they've gotten quite leggy. Can these be transplanted deeper before putting into the flower bed or should they only be transplanted at the existing soil line? Thanks! LC Grace

Yep - just did a whole bunch of them today. ;) You can also prune them back a bit if you wish and they will branch out.
