Shrubs ID Please.

Here I am posting two pictures of plants i am not able to identify and asking for a help. Plants are growing in zone 6b, Pictures were taken on 8th of April,2010.

I would appreciate greatly any response.

Hello,

Cannot tell you about the first picture, but the second one with the buds looks like a viburnum and will probably blossom white. Frequently, they have a nice fragrance. Enjoy it!

From what I can tell with the pic, looks like some sort of Mahonia, Oregon grape. Not a happy camper in that spot. Agreed with the Viburnum.
