3-leaf clover with white flower

quaker495August 5, 2014

Looking for the official name of this pretty little plant (weeds are in the eye of the beholder, right?) that I call a three leaf clover. It sports small white flowers that stay mostly rolled up, and the flowers are not numerous: maybe one flower for every few dozen plants. I am in Southern California and those are 3/4" bark, as a size guide.

I assume it's one of the white oxalises. For example, here's Oxalis crassipes 'Alba', aka White wood sorrel:

Yay, it's not even getting dissed as a weed! I was going to start pulling it but my gardener said it's fine, it comes and goes. And I can look forward to the flowers being more pronounced in the winter. Thank you missingtheobvious.

Yes not an invasive one, quite charming cooler season flowerer.
