Phoebe's Christmas holiday
No pictures yet and I'll try to keep this short because typing is painful at the moment. Phoebe has settled in happily. She was very well behavad with Misty for the first few hours and then started trying to provoke Misty to get Misty to play with her. She also wasn't giving Misty much peace when they went out to do their 'business'. So I'm doing what worked with Copper -i.e. hold Phoebe by the collar on the back porch while Misty goes about her business and then let Phoebe go to do hers. That seemed to help Copper get the hang of the fact that Misty was supposed to have the time and space to do her 'business' without interference. Phoebe is miles more mature and well behaved than Copper was at the same age.
Funny incident last night... We don't watch much TV but Randy is a Jeopardy fanatic so we always watch that. We sit on big cushions on the floor - it's easier for me to read the captions. Last night when we settled down to watch, Phoebe wedged herself between us and then wriggled, squirmed and pushed until Randy gave up in disgust and moved up to the couch to play his guitar. Misty joined him. Phoebe then stretched out on Randy's cushion and settled down happily! I told Randy that he shouldn't have let her evict him because it sets a bad precedent. Tonight he didn't even bother to try the cushion, just let Phoebe have it. At least Misty decided to stay put tonight! She has a better sense of how to train Phoebe than Randy I think: )
We slogged around the block this morning, delivering Christmas cookie bags to the local pack members. Phoebe enjoyed that (as did Misty and I although it was pretty heavy going on the road still).
