Idyll #296-Holiday Festivities
Well, here is a photo finally
We had a wonderful time at SueÂs party, as usual. Great food-IÂm still stuffed. Good company, especially once we gained control of the comfy sofa and chairs LOL
Marie-nice sweater! IÂm sure sheÂll appreciate it.
Michelle-what a great photo of you and Rick-so festive.
Ei, I am on the side of less frequent vaccinations for dogs. I tend to titer for distemper and parvo and give the rabies vaccine every 3 years, only b/c that is what is required by law. There are studies to suggest that dogs should get the vaccines up to possibly the 1 year shots, then there is lifelong immunity. I simply cannot believe that the veterinary community has not tested the duration of the vaccines. However, a study has just started to test the duration of the rabies vaccine up to 5 and 7 years. FINALLY! Many dogs have bad reactions to vaccines and scientific studies are needed. Emma had a moderate reaction to a vaccine that the vet talked me into a few years ago even though I should not have listened to him. We ended up giving her childrenÂs benadryl to calm her down and reduce the itchiness. Anyway, I posted the website below.
