Growing an aloe plant from a seed
On the first of August, I received 3 aloe seeds and a little planting system in the mail (ordered it from dunecraft). I did what the instructions said, I placed the seed on top of the soil, gently pushed it down with my finger (it didn't go anywhere, and I didn't want to damage my naiols, so it's basically sitting on top of the soil) and sprinkled the packaged gravel that came with the seeds on top (to keep the seed in place they said). I'd just like to know if I'm doing everything right, am I doing anything wrong, is there anything I should be doing to help germination? The seed hasn't sprouted yet, and the instructions said it should in 1-4 mounts.. is this true? It could be 4 months before it sprouts? I also have a cover on top of the pot to lock in heat. Am I on the right track here? Also, I only planted 1 seed. What is he best way to preserve the other two for future planting?
