I like it. I'm jealous. I would love to have some of those rocks. Three years ago I was being escorted through a proposed nature trail and I saw a lovely rock nestled in the exposed roots of a tulip tree. I was surprised and mentioned it to the property owner. He got red-faced and explained it was the only rock on the property and it had been put there 50 years previously by his mother who had grown up in New England. He hadn't moved it because she had liked it so much but he would remove it before they opened the trail. LOL?:(

Hi Jalal,
Posting is really quite easy.....
You are already using photobucket.
On the picture from photobucket that you want, go the to HTML Code line "Then back to your message box here and paste it in...looks like this....

and then when you hit preview it will come up like this.....

Presto

That is simply gorgeous, Flora2b.

Here's how my pond looked one day in 2005. Before the dreaded muskrat attack.

Beautiful! That's what I wanted to see. Love the nighttime lights, waterfall and hyacinth. Tried posting an individual picture again but it keeps asking me for a URL and a Link so I can't figure out what I'm supposed to do. If anyone else can please feel free. Keep the pictures coming. Patti

Gorgeous ponds everyone!

Patti:

Don't put anything in the "Optional Link URL:" box or the "Name of the Link:" box under your message. Like Flora said just copy and paste the HTML code from Photobucket into your message (not in any of the boxes below the message). In your message you will see the picture as the actual HTML code. Once you hit "Preview Message" your message will appear and so will your pics. Then you can hit the submit message button. Try it again and let us know how it works. I want to see more pics of your pond and landscaping. It looks so peaceful and is very beautiful.

Hi beeliz:

You aren't clicking on the HTML for websites & blogs (full size) you are selecting the IMG for bulletins and forums.

Here you go:

Unfortunately the weeds have taken over my floating planter islands and waterfall. I kind of like them though. They provide shade for the koi and I don't fret if the fish nibble on them.

My sweet potato vine in my flower boxes took over my bridge. Can you find it.

My settlement pond.

Hi- thanks for the compliment, Blessed. I have 2- a gf pond (the pics with the lilies) that's about 700g, and the koi pond that's a little over 2,000g. It's 10 x 7, and averages 4.5ft deep- from 4' at the shallow end to 5' at the deep end.

Thanks Jenny for the instructions. Your pond like all others here is gorgeous. Water looks so clear! I'm sure the watercress helps. I'm going to try posting again as I'm not patient with going to links.
So here's a picture of my pond as of yesterday:

And one of my beautiful daughter posing for the fish

The south end of the pond where the filters and pump under the deck

And because you asked some of the other landscaping in my yard

And finally my pond last year in July before things really took off and my weeping blue artic willow was alive

Jalal

Wow, wow and double wow! Your landscaping is awesome. Sorry your willow didn't make it. Your pond looks like nature put it there. I just love it.

I am having a devil of a time with string algae this year in my top and settlement pond. I pull it out with my algae witch when I get home in the evening and by morning its back. This morning my waterfall wasn't working again, so I'm going to have to go home and do a major clean out again. I'm hoping the cool weather will stop it in it's tracks........lol.......like anything will stop algae.

I echo the sentiment, Jalal- the landscaping overall is great, but the pond literally looks like a natural feature, which is the highest compliment that I think can be paid to any pond. Really nice work.

Jenny, I'm in Texas, where the coolest water temp in the last several weeks has been 85; I almost wish I had string algae problems...

Thanks everyone. I can't believe how clear the ponds look! And all are gorgeous. Beeliz I think you may have hit the thumnail action on your photos. In photobucket it's the buttom tab under the picture. The first one brings up the full size picture--thanks to Jenny's advice.
Duddly...you like the pond or the girl? I'm very proud of the girl but she has a boyfriend. My yard has been a 12 year project changing the pond three times. Hauling lots of rock from local farmer's fields and driving my sons crazy by having them move the big ones by the waterfall three times. The yard is kinda crazy right now as is the end of the season and everything has grown so much with all the rain. I think the pond looked nicer last year (the last picture) when it wasn't so overgrown but I did win the local best landscaped yard last year for our community. Most people here don't do much with their back yards.

Jenny I've had lots of success with koiclay both for suspended algae and the string algae. The string algae is supposed to be a sign that the pond is balanced. I get it along the waterfall bed too from all the nutrients and just pull it off or springle koiclay on it and it falls off.

Gotta go do the working thing. Have a happy day. Patti

Lol, pic #2 for the girl the last pic for the pond. It seems to really fit the landscape and setting and that is a very important part of how well a pond looks.

Do you have a sterilizer?

WOW EVERYBODY!! Beautiful!

beeliz - don't ever be embarassed here. My little ponds may be small, and I ALWAYS suffer from pond envy, but what I have created gives me great pleasure. Just a 300 gallon stock tank and a 175 gallon lined pond but I love 'em ... and so do all the neighbors that show up every night to sit and chat over a glass of wine :)
