Hi... I have never sprouted and was wondering if I can do it in little pots on the window sill, or do I have to do it outside, as far as getting all the health benefits from the sun???

Sure, you can start seeds anywhere you can provide a warm moist environment. After germination you will have to adjust the environment to suit the growing seedlings. Al
