by late june this shrub looks dreadful...black leaves, sickl;y. can I do something to prevent fungus from attacking this shrub?

get rid of it????

how do you know its a fungus??? .. or are you throwing a possibility out there... often we focus on such.. and miss the mark ... could it be a mold.. a mildew.. or even honeydew from aphids on the trees above????

we have to ID the problem with specificity ..... and then act accordingly ..

do you happen to have pix from last year???
