Seed Identification

lindenb2November 17, 2013

I'm looking to identify a seed found in a book from 1621. The seed probably dates from the late 1600s. The area the seed originates from is probably Tamworth near Staffordshire, England.

Any help is appreciated!

Is the seed velvety in texture? It might be an acacia. http://www.theseedsite.co.uk/db1.html
