Sweet-smelling white flowers

Hi, I just moved into a new house in Southern California. Would appreciate identifying some plants so I can find out if they're safe for my dog.

Zingiberacae

Hedychium gardnerianum or similar species.

More likely it is Hedychiums flavescens, H. gardnerianum has orange stamens.
